The Hidden Acre is owned by four long-time best friends, Craig and Lori Larsen and Jeremiah and Allison Longnecker. Lori and Allison’s friendship can be traced back to their high school days in Waterloo. From there they roomed together in college and were bridesmaids in each other’s weddings.  When Lori and Allison married Craig and Jeremiah, respectively, it was icing on the cake. After nearly 30 years of marriage in which they’ve raised kids together, worked together, and vacationed together, they now own a business together.

Business ownership is nothing new to either couple.  The Larsens owned and operated Craig Larsen Construction for a quarter century, building dozens of homes (including four for the Longneckers) throughout the Cedar Valley.  The home decorating store, Basket of Daisies, was another successful venture for the Larsens. The Longneckers owned and operated Jiva, also in downtown Cedar Falls. Prior to its sale 2012, Allison worked with hundreds of brides and their bridal parties on the day of their weddings.  The collective experiences and strengths of “LNL” is apparent in every aspect of The Hidden Acre – come meet us, check out our facility, and see for yourself!
